- Got FIWL tour expenses from Kathy and had her forward info to todd
- Research on best time to send email (answer: 3-5 pm for our org)
- wrote email to BOA's asking for their help editing newsletter
- Revising newsletter stories
- Talked on the phone with donor of large gift
- Signed-up for a wordpress webinar for Friday
- Email correspondence with Chas. Set-up meeting for friday

June 16th 2011

- Updated new subscriptions
- Talked with Kathy about conference call tonight
- Emailed updates to dufresne brothers and the lutheran church
- Worked with moellers to get a new map on our website

June 15th

It's been a few days since I posted here... It has been extremely busy

Recap of the past few days:
- Sent out a bulk email using mailchimp and have been recording responses
- Have been working on artwork with moeller's for facebook
- updated the homepage of the website
- updated the some of the "Our Ministries" pages
- Emailed lots and lots of people

Today
- Organized lots of new email subscriptions
- Helped Kathy set-up a presentation in her church
- Called Chas to try to fix our picture of India (left a message)
- Called a person I wanted to solicit for BOA but she was not interested...bummer
- Emailed like a crazy person
- posted a video on facebook which i think will get us some sponsors
- Called a person who just started sponsoring 4 kids and left a message thanking them
- Talked with Chas and Karen... now have to find more info for them online
- Called a lady about being linked to a specific child, her husband told me to call back tomorrow
- Called another lady who had been interested in sponsoring a child but she is unable at this time

June 9th 2011

- Sent an email to Luke trying to finalize meeting plans
- Talked with Kenyon about our Vanco pages. He wants me to design everything on Word... I know what the rest of my morning looks like
- Finished designing the draft and sent it to Kenyon
- Sent an email to another golfer who's email address we just got
- Lunch
- Been in touch with Kenyon
- Sent reply email to rex's response
- talked to todd on the phone
- started putting together BOA materials
- Talked with Kathy about sharing budget info...set-up a googledoc
- Called BOA and talked to his wife
- Sent another email to rex asking him if he will start reviewing my emails before I send them
- Talked to another BOA and she gave me a tip to contact Mission Network News

- Worked most of the morning on designing a new donate page
- Called Vanco and had them look at my design and try to replicate it, they will probably call back tomorrow
- Talked to Paul today and he and his brother are definitely going to become BOA's!
- Wrote a letter to a potential BOA who does not have email or phone number
- revised a letter to send to new SAC's
- Sent email to all those who participated in the golf tournament telling them about construction
- Met Bill today and talked with him for a while (I have a feeling he is going to be great to work with in the future)
- Nothing from Max... he's probably exhuasted
- Tomorrow I should update all of our information on what being an Advisory Board Member entails

June 7, 2011

- Checked email and got many SAC updates from Luke
- Revised the Raja community update letter and sent it back to Luke
- Revised the rest of the community update letters and sent them to Luke
- Updated the website: Added an events page and the Pencil and Coloring competition story
- Gar stopped by and I talked with him and set-up meeting for June 17th
- Called a couple BOA's and left messages
- Sent an email to SVBC (my old high school) giving them more info on Bethania
- called a Rajahmundry sponsor and am going to send link to video. She was a young girl living with her mom and dad so I did not solicit.
- sent email to Godfrey asking for info on getting a plaque made
- called a few potential BOA's and left messages
- 2 People are interested in becoming BOA's!!!!!!!!!!!!!! going to email them more information!

June 6th

- Wrote and responded to emails
- Got a new video from Max which I posted to facebook
- Wrote a letter to Sponsors of Rajahmundry boys asking for help with the building project
- New idea to be included with that letter: Plaque of donors to be hung on the wall. Have to talk to Godfrey about this.
- email problems... frustrating
- Emails to SAC's currently being sent. Going to take a little while for them to get out of my outbox.
- Sent excerpt from Max's blog to a Christian Magazine, hopefully they'll pick it up.
- Called one of the sponsors of a Raja boy to ask for more help for the building project. Got her email address and she said she couldn't help till july or september.
- Talked to another SAC about same thing and said she wasn't interested
- Left a message with another SAC
- Updated the Rajahmundry webpage to include video
- Updated a new tab on our facebook page to "get connected"
- Mailing out my VISA application

June 3rd

- Made adjustments with the printing company on the final proof
- got my picture taken for VISA
- Completed VISA application. Will be dropping off at FEDEX when I leave
- More adjustments to our letter
- Facebook post/album upload
- Hand-wrote a letter to a potential BOA, got info folder together for her, sent it on it's merry way! Saying a prayer she says yes...
- Left phone message with new BOA, Rick
- The majority of the rest of the day was spent trying to make a video go viral and talking to a BOD, Gene

June 2nd

- Talked to Chas this morning and got the mailing/insert all taken care of. Now just waiting for a proof from the printers and we'll be good to go!
- Trying to catch up on emails...apparently people had a lot to say last night
- Talked to Karen on the phone
- Ate Lunch
- Conference call with Luke and Kate
- created a youtube channel so max can upload videos
- made a facebook post referencing max's latest entry
- called Gene and set-up time to talk tomorrow
- left a message with an active bethania supporter
- Talked to a lovely lady who has been contributing for years and used to live in India as a missionary's daughter. Told her about BOA and am sending info in the mail!

June 1st

- Checked emails and received pictures from Godfrey about HR training. Getting more details on that. Maybe a potential facebook post...
- Shortened up the letter from myself and Todd
- adjusted the VISA
- Meeting with Todd. Fixed the letter and talked about other projects
- Lunch
- Sent modified letter to Chas, will wait to hear back from him
- Talked to people over at Fishhook. They use constant contact... going to compare it to mailchimp
- Updated social media
- Spent a lot of time comparing constant contact and mailchimp. I think we're sticking with mailchimp.
- Worked on updating the website with mailchimp
- called a sponsor whose card info expired and got it renewed

May 31st

- Checked my email and received pictures from Godfrey
- Loaded the pictures to phanfare
- checked the facebook
- Restarted the VISA application. Hopefully Todd will take a look at it today
- Met a lady from Bethel and talked about their combined trip to India
- Took an online webinar and found a great way to design and send bulk emails
- Ate lunch
- Talked to a lady who stopped by looking for someone and gave her some materials about Bethania to take to her church

- Talked with a BOA on the phone and am sending a presentation kit to her!!
- Put together the presentation kit

May 27th

- no internet this morning. Looks like ill be using my cell phone...
- Internet up and running, but still a little spotty. Took a while to remedy, and have tons of emails to go through

- Talked with Todd on the phone
- Received email from BOA who wants to do ESL and put her in touch with another person who has done ESL at Bethania
- Posted story to facebook and twitter

- Sent email to Chas with all the info for our mailing, he responded shortly after and we are going to talk this afternoon.
- Called another BOA and talked with her for a while. She is going to Sponsor A Child!! Yay! Have to send her email

Thursday, May 26th

- Checked email: got a message from Luke about SAC mailings. Working on editing the letter
- Talked with Kathy about SAC and a new potential BOA who has been sending generous gifts
- Talked with Kate and introduced myself and learned more about the SAC program.
- Emailed Terry the dates of the BOD meeting
- Have been working on revising the online subscribe button...running into frustrating problems
- Lunch
- Wrote insert for mailing and sent to Todd to proof
- Still trying to figure out the subscribe problems
- Resolved the subscribe issues. Button is fully functional
- Updated the website
- Found pictures to be included in the mailing

Wednesday, May 25th

- Continued email correspondence with Luke to set-up a meeting time and day
- Emailed Terry and we are scheduled to have a phone conversation tonight around 6:30
- Replied to a comment on Facebook
- Sent a message to a lady in my church about meeting to talk about a fundraising idea (cash party)
- Sent email to Chas with my letter to donors for him to look over. Will be calling him this afternoon.
- Called a BOA and it turns out he is going to Nagercoil tomorrow! He'll be sending me pictures of his visit.
- Called Jeanette, no answer
- She called me back! We talked and I am really looking forward to meeting her.
- Sent email to a BOA interested in ESL program in India. Told her about another BOA who has done it in the past.
- More communication with Church friend (Tina) about fundraiser idea meeting. Looks like we'll be meeting for dinner next week.
- Lunch time
- Read articles from the Chronicle of Philanthropy: a few good tips, and it reminded me that I need to look more into grant writing.
- Called a family that gave a generous donation and left a message personally thanking them.
- Left a message with Karen introducing myself, hopefully she'll call back soon.
- Called Chas. He did not read my email yet, but is going to look over the draft of the letter then call me back. We are going to try to draft out what all will be included with the letter.
- Started following Thrivent Financial on facebook and wrote on their wall as Bethania. Hopefully will grab a few more likes for our page
- Responded to email from high-schooler who wants to volunteer/get more involved with Bethania.
- Had to work on my outlook... things were getting stuck in the outbox
- Called another BOA and left a message introducing myself
- Spent a lot of time on the phone with Chas. He revised the appeal letter and offered me more suggestions.

Tuesday, May 24th

Accomplishments today:
- Talked with Polly Hennig on the phone (very lovely lady)
- Added a "subscribe to receive emails" button/form on the bethaniakids.org website (find it here http://bethaniakids.org/contact-us/)
- Made some adjustments to the appeal letter to be sent from me and Todd
- Sent the appeal letter to Gar for him to review and send back to me. Left a message on his phone also.
- Left a message with Jeanette Schmidt, hopefully she'll call me back soon so we can talk
- Got my credit card in the mail and completed necessary steps to obtain a VISA for India. Sent email to Gar and Todd to look over application and waiting for response.
- Posted an Indian recipe to the facebook page (hopefully sparks conversation)
- Called one of our BOA's. Individual wants to remain financial contributor but not an activist.
- Called another BOA and left a message introducing myself.
- posted photo album to the Facebook page.
